McLaren Celebrates Las Vegas with Bespoke 750S

McLaren has unveiled a one-off 750S, dubbed ‘Project Viva’, as a tribute to the energy and spectacle of Las Vegas, timed to coincide with the city’s inaugural Formula 1 Grand Prix. The vehicle, created by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), showcases the brand’s ability to transform a customer’s vision into a unique automotive masterpiece.

A Monochromatic Nod to Neon

Rather than directly replicating the bright neon aesthetic of the Las Vegas Strip, the 750S features a sophisticated monochrome livery. The deep black ‘Vegas Nights’ paint, developed specifically for this project, is subtly flecked with cyan, magenta, and green, echoing the after-dark glow of the city’s casinos. This is contrasted by MSO’s ‘Muriwai White’ paint, which incorporates blue metal flakes.

Artistry in Detail

The intricate artwork on the vehicle incorporates iconic Las Vegas symbols: dice, playing cards, slot machine numbers, and a roulette wheel. The hood features a playful take on the city’s famous “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign, reading “Welcome to Fabulous MSO”. A subtle nod to Vegas’s wedding chapels is hidden within the front bumper design.

The McLaren logo on the rear wing is inspired by the Las Vegas welcome sign, with the underside of the wing displaying the “Fabulous” graphic – visible when the spoiler deploys.

Racing Heritage and Driver Involvement

The rear bumper showcases ten stars, representing McLaren’s Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship titles. Nine are white, while one is finished in silver leaf to commemorate the team’s latest championship win. Each door sill is personalized with messages and signatures from McLaren’s current F1 drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, who also hand-applied the stars.

Further nods to McLaren’s racing history include the heart motif on the front bumper, featuring the helmet Bruce McLaren wore during his final F1 season in 1970. The right side of the car displays the brand’s original “Speedy Kiwi” logo alongside the modern emblem.

Public Display, Not For Sale

The McLaren 750S Project Viva will be on display at the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel from November 13th to 20th, preceding the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The vehicle is a unique commission and is not available for purchase.

The project demonstrates McLaren’s commitment to personalization and the brand’s ability to create bespoke vehicles that reflect a customer’s vision. The vehicle is a testament to the artistry and craftsmanship of MSO, showcasing the brand’s commitment to luxury and performance
