Sales Performance and Key Models
The Chery Tiggo 7 series has been particularly successful, maintaining its title as the best-selling Chinese A-class gasoline SUV for four consecutive years. Over one million Tiggo 7s have been sold in more than 100 countries since its launch. The Tiggo 8 series also performed exceptionally well, leading Chinese mid-size SUV sales and ranking as the top gasoline-powered model in China for ten months straight.
Growth in Export and New Energy Vehicle Sales
Chery Group’s total sales reached 2,806,393 vehicles in 2025, up 7.8% year-over-year. Exports played a crucial role in this success, with 1,344,020 vehicles shipped abroad—a 17.4% increase. Notably, new energy vehicle (NEV) sales surged by 54.9%, reaching 903,847 units. Exported vehicles now account for nearly half (47.9%) of Chery’s total sales, underscoring the brand’s growing international footprint.
Export Leadership and Future Expansion
With a cumulative export volume exceeding 5.85 million vehicles, Chery has become the first Chinese brand to surpass this milestone. One in every five Chinese cars exported worldwide is now a Chery vehicle, and the company has led Chinese passenger vehicle exports for 23 consecutive years.
Globally, Chery ranked 11th among all automotive groups in 2025. The company aims to increase sales to 3.2 million vehicles in 2026.
AI Integration and Technological Advancements
Chery is aggressively integrating artificial intelligence into its vehicle lineup. The Lingxi Intelligent Cockpit will be standard across major models by Q1 2026, while the Falcon advanced driving assistance system will be deployed in over 35 models by the end of 2026. This move signals Chery’s commitment to staying competitive in the rapidly evolving automotive technology landscape.
Chery’s success in 2025 demonstrates the growing strength of Chinese automakers on the global stage. The combination of strong sales, expanding exports, and aggressive AI integration positions the company for continued growth and market leadership.
