Abarth 600e Gets New Trims: Turismo and Competizione Join Lineup

Abarth has restructured its electric 600e hot hatch lineup, introducing Turismo and Competizione trims just a year after the model’s initial release. These designations will be familiar to Abarth enthusiasts, as both have appeared on previous models like the 500e and 595.

Trim Levels and Pricing

The Turismo replaces the original base-level Abarth 600e, maintaining the same starting price of £33,995. The more performance-focused Competizione comes in at £37,995, matching the cost of the now-discontinued Scorpionissima launch edition. Used 600e models are already available for under £29,000, showing early market activity.

Equipment Differences

Both trims retain key features from the outgoing 600e line. The Turismo includes a seven-inch driver display paired with a 10-inch central touchscreen, keyless entry, rain-sensing wipers, and sports seats. The Competizione adds integrated navigation, adaptive cruise control, high-performance Sabelt bucket seats, and a synthetic sound generator – which some reviewers have found to be more of a novelty than a practical enhancement.

Exterior Updates

The Abarth 600e’s aggressive styling remains unchanged, featuring a bold bodykit, rear spoiler, and 20-inch wheels. Paint options have been refreshed, replacing the ‘Hypnotic Purple’ with new two-tone finishes combining a black roof with ‘Acid Green’ or ‘Shock Orange’. The Competizione also gets updated side decals.

Performance Specs

The powertrain remains consistent with the ‘Perfo eCMP’ platform shared with the Vauxhall Mokka GSE and Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce. The Turismo delivers 235bhp, while the Competizione boosts output to 278bhp. Both versions use front-wheel drive, assisted by a Torsen mechanical front differential for improved handling.

Abarth’s move to refine the 600e lineup so soon after launch shows the brand’s commitment to adapting quickly to market preferences. The Turismo and Competizione trims offer more defined choices for buyers, from a daily-driveable sporty EV to a sharper, more track-focused version.
